The new edition of the Michelin Guide for Luxembourg and Belgium was unveiled on Monday morning in Antwerp. This year, the acclaimed restaurant Le Lys, led by chef Kim de Dood and situated in Villa Pétrusse in Luxembourg City, earned its first Michelin star. The guide praised the restaurant for its creative approach to Luxembourgish cuisine, highlighted by distinct Asian influences.

For chef Kim de Dood, the award marks the culmination of a goal he has pursued since opening Le Lys in the summer of 2025. Receiving the star represents significant recognition for his efforts and determination over the past months.

Meanwhile, the restaurant Cristallerie, headed by chef Milan Brée, which was also shortlisted for consideration this year, will have to wait a little longer for its first Michelin star.
