1. Spring market in the sun

What: As they say in Luxembourgish: 'Fréijoersbraderie'

The weather has come out to play and what better way to celebrate it than go to the south of the country, make some unexpected purchases at the annual braderie in Dudelange. The event starts at 9am and will last until 6pm, there is free parking but taking public transport is encouraged. Expect food and drink in abundance, some lavish bargains, and an allround great atmosphere.

2. Plant festival

What: What ever your plant heart desires

Now we're sure there are plenty of proud plant parents out there looking to pack their prosperous pantries with Petunias, Pileas, or Peonies? Enough with the alliteration... Co-labor's plant festival lives up to the festival billing: free workshops (including family laughter yoga), a barbeque with a local and sustainable menu, and much more! It starts at 9.30am until 5pm, get yourselves down and enrich your plant collection.

3. Out of the Crowd

What: Music festival
Where: Kuturfabrik, Esch-sur-Alzette

The festival, which has become a staple in the Grand Duchy's alternative music scene, specialising in indie rock sounds – particularly when it comes to highlighting shoegaze, post-punk, and grungy musical outfits. Bands from all over the world will be present; the UK, US, Canada, Belgium, France, and even Japan will be represented on two stages at an iconic cultural hub in the centre of Esch. 4. Luxembourg Women's Rugby Day

What: Inclusion, diversity, and gender equality in sports
Where: Cessange, Boy Konen

The event is designed as a relaxed and welcoming introduction to rugby, with participants able to explore both touch and contact rugby in a safe and supportive environment. "You can choose what you want to do", Chris Gill from Rugby Club Luxembourg explained. "If you prefer not to be tackled, you can go for touch. If you want to try contact, you can do that too." Sessions will be run by members of the club, giving participants a chance to learn the basics, try out drills and get a feel for the sport. No special equipment is required, just comfortable sportswear and trainers.

5. Groove&Roll

What: A fusion of dance and rollerskating

A new and exciting event is coming to Luxembourg, Groove&Roll organised by the Roller Skates Club Luxembourg in combination with den Atelier. If you're a rollerskating fanatic, a dancer, or simply somebody who likes having a good time: den Atelier is the place to be this Sunday. Renowned rollerskate dancer Mogwai will lead a workshop at 2pm, where you can discover the art of combining your wheels with rhythm. Then at 5pm you can enjoy a skate and dance party either with your skates on or skates off.

6. Discover a new skill

What: Make your own mustard
Where: Lëtzebuerg City Museum

In a former mustard factory you can learn how to make the "best" accompaniment of Luxembourg's traditional Mettwurscht. It's not every weekend you can learn a new skill and for lovers of mustard – what could be better! Best of all it's completely free.

7. Jazz Days XXL

What: A day of jazz music
Where: Aalt Stadhaus, Differdange

A mix of international and local artists will gather in Differdange over the weekend to bring a wide variety of top quality jazz. Entrance is free and there is an array of workshops, masterclasses, and concerts to appease your jazz needs.
