The initiative was announced by the European Broadcasting Union on Thursday.
RTL Radio Lëtzebuerg, RTL Today Radio, and RTL Gold all took part in the initiative from Luxembourg.
The popular song, written by John Lennon, was played in over 25 countries on Friday morning, including Ukraine.
