African swine fever15km barrier removed on Belgo-Luxembourgish border
As the situation of the swine fever in Belgium has developed positively, the 15 kilometre fencing will be removed by Luxembourgish, Belgian, and French authorities.
The ministry of agriculture has announced the removal of the fencing that originally had been put in place to prevent the African Swine Fever (ASF) virus from propagating across Luxembourg’s wild boar population.
As of 21 December 2020, Belgium is considered free of ASF after detecting its first case in September 2018.
