The two churches to be attributed to the Church fund will be the chapel on the Glacis and Kirchberg's Chapel of Notre-Dame.

As the mayor of Luxembourg City Lydie Polfer explained, the municipal authorities are currently in the process of negotiation with the Church. The diocese wants to keep all the churches. In return, the municipal council proposed a future rent for religious buildings, which would be €1,500 per year.

Larger religious buildings would have a rental cost of €2,000 per year and the cathedral, which also belongs to the city's authorities, would have an annual cost of €2,500.

As for the unused rectories, Polfer proposed that the city would use them as social housing.
