Education647 adolescents aged 16 to 18 left school prematurely last year

Minister of Education Claude Meisch provided this information in his response to a parliamentary enquiry from MP Fred Keup from the Alternative Democratic Reform Party (ADR).

MP Keup enquired about the drop-out rates of senior high school students, their reasons for doing so, as well as the implications for the country’s economy.

In his response, Minister Meisch provided details about the number of pupils who dropped out in the last couple of years and explained that the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) has launched an initiative to monitor the progression of pupils leaving school prematurely.
