The collision occurred on the A3 towards Metz on Wednesday afternoon. The crash occurred before the Berchem motorway stop and the overtaking lane is blocked.
At 3.20 pm, there were around 10 km of tailbacks between the A1 by Hamm until the A3 by Bivange. Some 20 minutes later, the accident had been cleared but traffic was only slowly returning to normal.
