The efforts of Info-Handicap bore fruit: after two months of negotiation and a petition, the government has finally given in and made the Adapto service for people with disabilities free of charge.
Earlier this Monday, the Ministry of Mobility announced that the Adapto service will be reformed. In more concrete terms, the government will revise who can use the service, reserving it strictly to those "who have no other possibilities" to get about. A new central office will be in charge of managing bookings and a new commission will evaluate new requests to use the service.
Public transport will be free from 1 March 2020.
