"Rives de l'Alzette" will be the name of the new district in Mersch. Initial urbanisation procedures are set to launch at the beginning of 2022. A total of 800 apartments are planned, with between 1,500 and 2,000 people expected to eventually move in.

This brand new urban environment between the train station, Lycée Ermesinde, and the Alzette river will bring a refreshing modern update to the area. Furthermore, small businesses will have the opportunity of installing themselves alongside the new family homes and apartment buildings.
The first construction phase is scheduled to end in 2024, while the fourth and final one will take until 2032.
