After Solvi’s departure, CSV colleague Pascal Nicolay will take over the position of second alderman in the municipality of Ettelbruck.
Solvi first ran in the 2017 municipal elections, in which he received the second-most votes of the CSV candidates. Three years later, he became a member of the aldermen council. During his time in office, Solvi focused on issues relating to the environment, mobility, and traffic.
Following Solvi’s resignation, Luc Rasqui is poised to become the latest member of Ettelbruck’s municipal council, which has 13 members. The town is currently run by a coalition between the CSV and the Luxembourg Socialist Workers’ Party (LSAP).
