Retirement and nursing homesAround 60% of staff members vaccinated to date

RTL Today
The vaccination rate among staff members of retirement and nursing homes remains relatively low.

Minister of Health Paulette Lenert and Minister for Family Affairs Corinne Cahen revealed that in half a dozen homes for the elderly, the vaccination rate among staff members is even at 40% or below. Lenert and Cahen did not reveal the names of these facilities. They provided this information in their joint reply to a parliamentary question on the subject by MP Michel Wolter from the Christian Social People's Party (CSV).

The vaccination rate among people working for care providers in general, i.e. including those who provide at-home assistance for the elderly, has also not changed significantly and is currently at 49%. At one particular care provider, the vaccination rate is even as low as 24%, meaning that only every fourth employee is vaccinated.
