ASTA (Administration of Technical Agricultural Services), under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Viticulture and Consumer Protection conducted an analysis of Luxembourg's autumn weather.
In Oesling in the Grand Duchy's north, temperatures were 0.3 degrees above average, a measurement that rises to 0.7 degrees in the country's south. October was warmer than average, as opposed to November, which was slightly cooler.
Rainfall was higher than the autumn average for the whole country. The measurement tool, located in Koerich, registered levels 103 millimeters above average.
The season's rainfall however is not enough to counterbalance the year's deficit, a situation that was especially clear up north.
The report stated that it was of high importance that the country's water tables be refilled during the winter so as to guarantee proper farming and drinking water.
