
The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) were called to two separate traffic incidents in Luxembourg on Monday.
At around 6pm, a driver lost control of their vehicle on the N26 near Schumannseck for reasons that are not yet clear. The car struck a rock face before overturning and coming to rest on its roof shortly afterwards.
The road was closed at the scene to allow emergency services to carry out rescue operations. The driver was taken to hospital by ambulance.
A rescue helicopter was also on site, along with an ambulance from Redange and firefighters from Wiltz and the Lac de la Haute Sûre municipality.
Earlier in the afternoon, shortly before 4pm, a collision occurred between a car and a motorcycle on the RN07 between Potaschberg and Grevenmacher, according to the CGDIS.
One person was injured in this incident. Emergency services from Mertert attended the scene.
