
The man became aggressive when asked to move away from the vehicle and produce identification. He then attacked an officer with a tool, but was immobilised shortly afterwards.
As the suspect was deemed a danger to himself and others, he was arrested and fined after a medical check.
Early on Thursday morning, police noticed an erratic driver who almost collided with a police vehicle on Rue de la Semois in Luxembourg City. The driver was not only found to be over the alcohol limit, but had also broken curfew. He was consequently fined.
Finally, on Wednesday evening a fight broke out on Place de la Gare shortly before 7pm, again in the capital. One person suffered minor knife wounds, which were treated at the scene. The victim refused a hospital transfer. Four of the perpetrators were identified and the weapon was confiscated.
