On Thursday evening, firefighters had to respond to a fire in the village church in Welfrange.

A fire broke out in a church in Welfrange, in the south-east of the country. The fire started at about 8.13pm and mainly damaged the roof of the church.

About thirty firefighters were mobilised, according to RTL sources. The fire stations of Aspelt, Dalheim, Hesperange, and Remich were at the scene.

An ambulance was also despatched, but fortunately no one was injured.

Two injured in Steinfort

Two people were injured in a two-car accident in Steinfort on Thursday night. The collision took place in Rue de Luxembourg at around 3.30am. Two ambulances were despatched. The Steinfort fire brigade was also at the scene.
