Chamber of DeputiesCould parents be compensated if they choose not to send their children to daycare?

RTL Today
On Thursday afternoon, the Chamber of Deputies will discuss the potential introduction of financial support for parents who choose not to send their children to daycares.

The proposal was made in light of the government’s decision to make daycares and school lunches free of charge. Parents who prefer to look after their children themselves would therefore be put at a disadvantage, a public petition argued.

The document gathered 4,879 signatures, thus passing the threshold to be eligible for debate in the Chamber of Deputies.
