That is of course not to say that France, Belgium, and Germany are not plagued by similar price increases as the Grand Duchy is. So, here is an overview of those locations you may want to avoid if you are looking for a bargain.
Zoufftgen is the most expensive region across the French border, with average buying prices of €226,129 per apartment and €424,271 per house. According to Luxembourgish real-estate agency atHome, these prices go far beyond the regional averages of €166,000 and €307,000.
Martelange turns out to be the Belgian municipality with the most elevated buying prices: €247,500 on average for an apartment, and €491,000 on average for a house. The regional average in the Province de Luxembourg is set at €221,996 and €306,915.
Across the German border, two towns stand out when it comes to elevated buying prices: Irrel has the most expensive apartment average at €371,450, while Trier's house buying options are the highest in the region at €556,738. According to atHome, the average prices in the German border region are set at €291,631 and €401,522.
