A driver was stopped by police in the early hours of Tuesday after officers observed a vehicle accelerating through a corner and drifting past a police patrol on Rue Large in Esch-sur-Alzette.
Upon stopping the car, police officers found the driver was clearly under the influence of alcohol.
A subsequent breathalyser test confirmed the suspicion, returning a positive result. Further checks revealed that the car's road tax disc was no longer valid. The man's driving licence was confiscated on the spot.
