Emergency services were kept busy on Tuesday, responding to two separate road accidents and a forest fire, in different parts of the country.
According to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), the first incident occurred at around 11.42am on Route de Kayl in Dudelange, where one person was injured in a traffic accident. The victim was treated by an emergency doctor from Esch, with ambulance personnel from Dudelange and firefighters from both Dudelange and Bettembourg attending the scene.
Later in the afternoon, at approximately 4.38pm, emergency teams were dispatched to Bettembourg Street in Kockelscheuer following a collision between a car and a motorcycle. No injuries were reported, but the vehicles sustained material damage. The rescue services from Luxembourg City attended the scene.
In addition, the CGDIS responded to a forest fire near Riesenhof. Firefighters from Rambrouch and Ell were mobilised to extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
