The force of the crash pushed the parked car into a wall and damaged a third vehicle nearby. However, the culprit failed to stop at the scene, instead choosing to flee in the direction of Rumelange. A police investigation has been launched.
Elsewhere, police patrols conducted a number of alcohol checks in Capellen, Koerich, Buderscheid and Heiderscheid. Around 400 drivers performed breathalyser tests, four of whom were over the legal limit. Two people had their licences withdrawn.
