Police patrols were stationed in Hosingen, Hoscheid-Dickt, and in Diekirch. Officers stopped a total of 363 motorists, finding that eight had been driving under the influence. The police gave four of the offenders taxed warnings, gave four fines, and confiscated two licenses on the spot.
Other police patrols confiscated driver's licenses due to drink driving throughout the course of the night, namely on Duerfstroos in Merscheid, Rue de Wilwerdange in Troisvierges, between Doncels and Winseler, at the Raemerich roundabout and on Rue d'Audun in Esch-sur-Alzette. All these incidents occurred between midnight on Saturday and 6am.
