The budget for financial aid has been increased by 150 million euros, announced the Commission in an official statement.

A further measure also allows for help to be granted in the form of subsidies for businesses directly affected by the increase in energy prices. Finally, the maximum value that a company can receive has been increased to 500,000 euros.

The deadline to apply for the respective subsidies was therefore extended until 31 December 2023.
