
In Italy, travellers mainly need to be aware of mask mandates in public places, both outside and inside. When it comes to beaches and cultural spaces, the country has decided to open up in an attempt to kickstart its tourism sector.
Similarly, people travelling to Portugal will be able to enjoy beaches and public pools. However, safety distances need to be upheld, which means that tourists are advised to book spots in advance. The consumption of alcohol in public places is prohibited, terraces being the only exception.
When it comes to the popular Spanish holiday islands, they have fewer restrictions than the mainland at the moment. Terraces opened last weekend, and as of Sunday, guests may also be welcomed inside again. Important to note that Spain also has a mask mandate. However, at the beach, people may take them off if they are far enough from each other.
The diversity of Greece can once again be discovered via cruise ship, with people being allowed to go on land at different locations.

In contrast to our neighbouring countries, entering Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Greece is much simpler. Travellers coming in via plane or ship will only need one negative PCR test. None of the countries require foreigners to quarantine upon arrival. Furthermore, fully vaccinated travellers will not need a test to enter Greece and Madeira.
All four countries require people to fill out a travel and entry form before embarking on their journey.
