Since 18 November, the website for Luxembourg's participation at the Dubai 2020 World Expo is transmitting live footage of the construction, thanks to a timelapse camera fitted at the construction site.

Around 30 individuals are working on the Luxembourg pavilion's site at the location due to host the next World Expo. In time, more than 100 workers out of the total 35,000 construction workers will focus on the Luxembourgish site. Given previous concerns, the economic interest group in charge of the site (GIE, which includes the governmnet) has reiterated that all workers are protected by "very high welfare standards."

To allow people to view the progress of the construction works, the timelapse camera has been set up to showing the site. The footage will be updated every 30 minutes. It will show how the pavilion - with a form inspired by the Möbius loop - will slowly come together. As the construction progresses, the GIE will also put up a film version of the timelapse.

The 2020 Expo in Dubai will last six months, namely from 20 November 2020 to 10 April 2021. Organisers expect around 25 million visitors in total, coming from the entire world. Under the theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, the 2020 Expo aims to bring people together to celebrate innovation and ingenuity.
