
Shortly after 7.00 p.m., officers received a call about a car driving with a flat tyre on the N10 between Stadtbredimus and Grevenmacher. Police managed to stop the car in Wormeldange soon after, and a check showed that the man did not have a valid driving license and was also drunk. He received a fine and his car was immobilised by order of the prosecutor’s office.
Around 7.40 p.m., the police were alerted to a driver who crashed into two stationary vehicles in Strassen. When officers confronted the man at the scene of the accident, he immediately admitted to having drunk alcohol, which was soon after confirmed by a positive test result. Officers revoked the man’s license and issued a fine. Material damage at the scene was estimated to be high.
At 2.40 a.m. on Monday, a police patrol stopped a reckless driver in Luxembourg City. Aside from testing positive for alcohol, the man also lacked valid service and tax papers for his car. Officers issued a fine and revoked the man’s license.
Shortly thereafter, the same police patrol became aware of a car parked in the middle of Val de Hamm. Due to the suspicion of excessive alcohol consumption, the man was subjected to a rapid test, which came back positive. Officers issue a driving ban.
