Psychologist Gilbert Pregno responded to the latest results from the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), noting that he has followed them with great interest.

He explained that these results provide insight into how children and young people are learning, but also reflect that they are being educated in an environment that is not necessarily supportive of their needs.

Addressing the ongoing debate about banning mobile phones in lower school years, Pregno suggested that one solution could be creating designated areas where digital devices are not permitted.

However, he cautioned that introducing such restrictions within schools would not solve the core issue. According to Pregno, a ban would primarily serve as a signal to parents, encouraging broader reflection on digital consumption among young people.
