To date, more than 160 million euros have been paid out in refundable advances, with over 2,000 requests for government support approved.
The majority of businesses benefiting from this aid in 2020 were in the construction industry, while the hospitality sector received nearly 9 million in additional support to cope for the sector's closure from November last year.
In addition, the state-guaranteed loans will also be prolonged until the end of the year. 382 of these loans have been approved to date, to the tune of 176 million euros.
The government's Neistart programme, designed to stimulate investment despite the health crisis, will also be extended. The maximum will also be increased from €800,000 to 1.8 million per business. There have been 219 requests for this support, reaching around 63 million euros.
Most of the projects that have benefited from Neistart aid are related to the industrial sector for nearly 20 million euros, followed by the construction sector for 15.7 million euros, and trade for more than 9.9 million euros.
