The perpetrators arrived to the car dealers in a dark Renault Megane. In addition to stealing the BMW Z4 with the license plate ''Occasion'', they also damaged other cars before fleeing to France.
The Renault Megane was found, destroyed by fire, at around 5.00am near Aubange (a Walloon municipality of Belgium).
The stolen BMW with the distinctive license plate was later seen near another robbery in France.
The police report that other burglaries took place in Luxembourg during the night from Friday to Saturday: on the main road in Munsbach, on Rue Bellevue in Contern, on Rue de Chicago in Luxembourg city, on Rue Franklin Rooselvelt in Olm and on Rue Jules Diederich in Hesperange.
In Luxembourg city, on Rue Jos Junck, an e-bike of the brand FLEBI was stolen on Friday between 6.30 and 8.30pm. The thief had broken the lock with which the e-bike was secured.
