Stéphanie was born on 18 February 1984 in Ronse, Belgium, the eighth and youngest child of Count Philippe de Lannoy and his wife, Alix.
On 20 October 2012, Stéphanie married Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg. The couple are expecting their first child in spring 2020.
