The cyclist had already caused a number of accidents with other road users because of his erratic cycling style. A little later, he was located in a residence, which he had entered without permission. The man, who was clearly intoxicated, was taken to the police station. The public prosecutor was informed of the incident. A complaint was filed against the cyclist, who had to spend the night in a cell.

Also on Tuesday evening, at around 8.20pm, a person was reported to the police at a petrol station in Rodange for having committed acts of vandalism. When the police arrived on the scene, they found themselves confronted with a heavily inebriated man. He was shouting and hurling insults at other customers. As the man was a danger to himself and others, he too spent the night in a cell.

The police also withdrew two driving licences last night. An intoxicated motorist was driving on the A7 towards northern Luxembourg. His vehicle was stopped shortly before Lorentzweiler. His breathalyser test was positive, and his licence was immediately revoked. Another driver was caught zigzagging on the N11. The alcohol test came back positive and his licence was withdrawn.
