The motorist evaded the German police on the A1 motorway and crossed into Luxembourg. A Luxembourgish police patrol then spotted the car and attempted to stop the driver with sirens and lights, but the motorist continued to ignore the officers.
The police only managed to stop the driver when the man crashed into a police car. The man had encountered a second police patrol after the Howald tunnel and crashed into the car whilst trying to escape.
The motorist was highly inebriated and had his car seized alongside being given a fine.
