
Shortly before 1am, police stopped a car near Windhof that had just passed the patrol car at high speed. A breathalyser test revealed that the driver was in fact heavily intoxicated. They were given a temporary driving ban and their licence was withdrawn. The driver also received a fine for violating the curfew.
At around 10 pm, a motorist drove their car into a van parked along route de Peppange in Bettembourg. The breathalyser test was positive. The driver was slightly injured and was taken to hospital. Police also found a taser in their car and seized it. A complaint has been filed.
Another accident occurred on the N8 in Saeul at around 7.10 pm on Tuesday, when a car overturned after hitting a tree. The driver was injured and taken to hospital. In this case too, the driver tested positive for alcohol and was issued a driving ban.
