Luxembourg has been placed on orange alert by Météolux in view of "strong thunderstorms" which will be accompanied by heavy rain, hail and gusts of wind of up to 80 km/h.
According to forecasts from the Lux based weather station the thunderstorms will reach their peak between 10 pm and 3 am.
Météolux also warns that significant amounts of rain will be observed across the Grand Duchy and the threat of floods with it.
As for temperatures, despite the storms, they will remain high, between 26 and 28 ° C in the evening. Authorities are asking people to be extra careful in light of the storms and take all neccessary precautions.
