ViandenLocal chairlift turned into training ground for emergency service operation

RTL Today
Last week, members of the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) teamed up with members of the Air Rescue to conduct a joint training operation at the chairlift in Vianden.

Team members made use of the chairlift to simulate several emergency situations. They ‘rescued’ people with the help of a helicopter, a ladder, and also repelled people down from the chairlift.

The training operation lasted for about two hours. Since Vianden is the only place in the Grand Duchy with a chairlift, the municipality requires local emergency service teams to regularly conduct training operations on site.
