In a joint press release published on Tuesday, the involved parties stress that local doctors "will have a say in the planning and implementation". However, the private doctors of the Hôpitaux Robert Schuman group will "obviously be involved in the development of the project".
An agreement was in fact reached a few weeks ago between the Hôpitaux Robert Schuman Foundation and the municipality of Junglinster regarding a plot of land made available by the municipal authorities for the construction of a medical centre, which will be managed by HRS S.A., which owns the Kirchberg hospital.
The centre is expected to expand the medical services available in the east of the country, "if legally possible and politically desirable", those responsible for the project add in their press release.
