Producers having lost over 30% of their revenues, however, are able to receive help from the state under certain conditions. These aids amount on average to over €10,000. However, the situation of these businesses varies greatly, as they are each structured very differently.

Some even want to phase out their pork production entirely. In his reply to a parliamentary question by MPs André Bauler and Gusty Graas from the Democratic Party (DP), Minister of Agriculture Romain Schneider states that, in any case, the Ministry will offer advice to the affected producers.
