About 50 passengers were on flight LG8013 from Luxembourg to Paris when the malfunction took place. Minutes after departure, one of the tyres on the landing gear burst, thereby forcing the plane to make a u-turn and land again at Findel airport. The pilot announced the return to the passengers beforehand.

As protocol demands in such cases, a fire brigade was deployed to the airfield to await the plane. However, there were no issues with the landing and the plane made it back to ground safely. Passengers were then brought back to the airport via shuttle.
