The world seemed to stop just over a month ago. Deserted streets, boarded up cafés, roads without traffic - these images, captured by RTL photographer Domingos Oliveira, depict a very different city compared to just six weeks ago.
From the city centre to Kirchberg, from the palace to the Gëlle Fra, the Place d'Armes and Grand Rue... the capital has never been quieter.
The calm may continue for some time, as pupils must wait until May before returning to school, shops are yet to reopen and a vast number of spring and summer events in the city have been cancelled.
