
Majerus first addressed the challenging times of the pandemic, expressing his hope that artisan life can once again move away from politics and focus on cooperation. At the moment, the sector is mostly struggling with material shortages and price increases of primary goods. On top of that, suppliers are unable to provide estimated delivery times, which in return makes it impossible for artisans to plan ahead.
Naturally, there are also fears that the ongoing pandemic is still throwing plans out of balance, especially if another infection wave develops: "So far, our relationship with the Ministry for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises is impeccable, but we still wish to have a little more support when times are this tough."
