Police were alerted to the incident at around 7pm on Wednesday. A man in Ettelbruck is said to have tried to run over his ex-girlfriend with his car.
Officers were able to locate the suspect following a search. He was arrested by order of the public prosecutor and brought before an investigating judge.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office has since confirmed to RTL that the man is no longer in custody.
