Two men got involved in an altercation at an Esch testing facility on Monday. When a woman tried to calm the situation, stepping in front of her acquaintance, she was then struck.
When police officers arrived at the scene, they determined that the enraged man was already known to the police and indeed wanted for questioning on separate matters.
The man was not going to go quietly, however, and instead of allowing officers to escort him off the premises, he then coughed and spat at the police.
He was subsequently brought to a hospital, where he continued his tirade of insults, disruptive and violent behaviour.
The man was fined for breach of peace and failing to comply with Covid restrictions.
