The Platform for Democracy was established earlier this week by the youth sections of the Christian Social People’s Party (CSV), the Luxembourg Socialist Workers’ Party (LSAP), the Democratic Party (DP), and The Greens.
According to ADRenalin, the creation of this non-profit association is a direct reaction to the recent election result in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt which, they argue, did not sit well with these parties.
ADRenalin further claims that the ADR has been wrongly accused of opposing equal rights for men and women. The youth organisation insists that efforts should focus on fostering genuine democracy, and announced plans to advocate for a direct democratic platform in the near future; one, they say, that would welcome everyone.
