The Court of Appeals has revisited the sentence of a man charged with threatening paramedics.

Initially, the man received a six-month prison sentence for his antics. In May 2017, he threatened three paramedics who came to his flat in Differdange to help him. He kept the three paramedics in his apartment for nearly three and a half hours, refusing to let them leave.

The Court of Appeals has revised the sentence: instead of prison, the man will have to do 240 hours of community service.

In addition, the emergency services received a symbolic euro in damages. The three paramedics received a total of €1,300 in damages.
