As temperatures begin to move away from the 30°C threshold, only the south of Luxembourg remains under a yellow heat alert on Sunday. Meteolux warns of moderate stress until midnight, although thunderstorms are forecast to appear in the second half of the day.
The country’s Water Management Agency has reiterated that the “vigilance phase” regarding drinking water, in place since 10 July, remains active. The ongoing heat is leading to increased water consumption, while water resources remain under pressure.
Residents and businesses are urged to save water and minimise all non-essential use.
