The vice presidents of the Luxembourg City Business Association (UCVL) are Malvina Gelezuinas and Dan Gantrel.
The UCVL stated that the pandemic had severely impacted the capital's shops and businesses, with a number of international brands closing their shops for good. In particular, the fashion and accessory industry felt the negative effects of the crisis.
The association also observed that while the number of shops that decided to close down remained stable, the number of new openings decreased.
The UCVL regards the street crime in the city centre, the numerous construction sites, closed car parks, and the bad accessibility of the capital's shops as the main challenges going forward.
