The three parties used the motion to express their concerns over the adequacy of the appointment, given that Wickler has been active on corona-sceptical platform Expressis-Verbis. Furthermore, they question her competences in regards to the position as Cargolux president.

MP Fernand Kartheiser (ADR) expressed his shock over the motion and emphasised that his party is in no way questioning the nomination of Wickler.

MP Josée Lorsché (The Greens) vehemently refuted the statements made on the platform in question. At the same time, she underlined that Wickler was technically qualified to fill the position. Minister for Mobility and Public Works François Bausch, who was involved in Wickler's nomination, underlined that the businesswoman was considered due to her economic expertise and overall competences. He further refuted claims that she was the only candidate to be put under consideration.

The party thus dismissed the motion.
