The victim was travelling in the direction of Wintrange at around 10.30pm when his vehicle struck a metal barrier, causing him to fall off the bike.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene before bringing him to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning.
Police have opened an investigation to determine the exact cause of the collision.
