The cause of the attack is still unknown. According to the police statement, several individuals attacked one individual using bottles at first and then started beating him.
The police were unable to find the attackers immediately and have opened an investigation to speed up the search. The victim had to be taken to hospital due to the injuries they suffered during the attack.
Another incident occurred on Sunday morning on Avenue de la Libération in Schifflange. Two customers of a bar came to blows around 3 am. A third person attempting to intervene was injured in the process and taken to hospital to be treated.
