Despite the rains of the last few days, it is evidently still too unsafe to let off fireworks, the municipality stated.
After the Grand-Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) advised against it, the municipality issued a statement saying that “the fireworks planned for Wednesday 7 September 2022 at 10pm as part of the Schueberfouer closing ceremony are cancelled.” According to the municipality, this decision was made “because to the increased risk of fire due to the prolonged period of drought.”
