An automatic alarm was set off at Neumunster Abbey, leading to the evacuation of the Krieps hall. It is not known what set the alarm off.

At the time of the evacuation, the Belgian royal couple and Grand Duke Henri were in the Krieps hall for a presentation on the space sector. Attendees then heard a message sounded via speakers, telling them to leave the building.

After a few minutes, it transpired that it had been a false alarm and the royals were able to return to the presentation on Wednesday afternoon.
